Well yes! If someone were to ask me what life would say just that: a mixture of joy and pain. Result? Pure pleasure.
What else is life but a walking blindfolded in a dark forest, full of obstacles and pitfalls that though, often reveals glimpses affasciananti seen peeking through the weave of the fabric?
Fear?
No!
Or maybe sometimes a little 'wink to the experienced.
But a great curiosity drives us to go ahead, always a bit 'more.
Sure, sometimes we fall, and we Peel a bit 'knees. But that pleasure, then, in getting up, and return the fearless way.
Here, a mixture of joy and pain I think is well represented by the music that will follow (a masterpiece in my opinion) by Clint Mansell.
Entered as a soundtrack for the movie The Fountain - The Fountain - (another masterpiece), Darren Aronofsky, this music expresses, in my opinion, just that mixture of joy and sorrow that characterizes the lives of ' beings' truly alive, those who do not pull indietro quando la vita chiama.
Esaltante, inquietante, ossessionante, ma a tratti dolce, in una alternaza che tocca vette strazianti oppure esplosive.
Passione allo stato puro.
